BERWICK ART GOSSIP
Here is something interesting going on in downtown Berwick… One Sullivan Square was recently purchased and the new owners have sought out and employed local artists to assist them in realizing an ambitious vision of redeveloping a river front for our community. The re-booting and handling of this building will easily set the tone for this entire town and I must praise their efforts to gain insight and input from creative locals as well as explore unique modern visions for the space.
Can you see a future where you can take an enjoyable walk with your kids to downtown Berwick to grab an ice cream, then rent a paddle boat before meeting friends for local brew coffee and pastries! AND see ART on the walls of all of these businesses? This is a very exciting move forward for our community and we plan on closely following the progress over the upcoming months (and years) as it powers forward.
The town has gained such a positive momentum with Envision Berwick, an emerging great group of selectmen and a solid town planning committee and the current thrust will hopefully continue to spring us all forward in such a positive way. Concentrating on the redevelopment of the river front and One Sullivan Square is the PERFECT place to begin!
We have the years of needed experience and expertise in the arts business and personal relationships with the artists and creative experts in town, and we are confident that we will be key players in the cultural growth of this town given the proper support and partnerships.
We are currently exploring ideas and seeking all those that are seeking to and love working side by side with art & creativity. Let's talk! ... introduce yourself: email MODspoke
