Shopping for original art, one of a kind creations and buying direct from independent sellers isn't as hard as it used to be around here.
Blackbird Studio & Gallery in North Berwick is coming up on the second weekend of their Holiday Open House and you won't be disappointed if you are looking for an original gift and a friendly shopping experience.
Owner Jean Coughlin and the artists that are part of the collaborative group will take the winter chill off and greet you with a warm smile this weekend. You can chat about every original piece in this cozy gallery while you enjoy a taste of chai tea and some fresh baked cookies and treats…sigh….how nice :)
While exploring what Berwick has to offer for original gifts this weekend, I came across some true gems…
This sculpture by Bob Farrell (shown above)
is selling for only $80.00! what? really?! yes.
In the hour I spent at Blackbird,
the visitors were surrounding it and discussing it…
it won't be available too much longer….
and it may have to come home with me.
more from this weekend in Berwick...
I highly recommend a visit to www.wjsanger.smugmug.com

...a big shout out to ALL of the independent sellers and crafters from Berwick showing off what they do at the Knowlton School today, the more buy local opportunities we have around here... the better!
